यदि नाहं परित्याज्यो युवा भ्यामिह संयुगे । विक्रमेणानुरूपेण युध्येतां पुरुषर्षभी,“यदि युद्धमें आप दोनोंको मेरा परित्याग करना उचित नहीं जान पड़ता हो तो द्रोणाचा्य और आप दोनों श्रेष्ठ पुरुष अपने योग्य पराक्रम प्रकट करते हुए युद्ध कीजिये'

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

yadi nāhaṃ parityājyo yuvābhyām iha saṃyuge |

vikrameṇānurūpeṇa yudhyetāṃ puruṣarṣabhī ||

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಈ ಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸುವುದು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೆ, ದ್ರೋಣಾಚಾರ್ಯನೂ ನೀವು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ—ಪುರುಷರ್ಷಭರು—ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ವೀರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ।
