कुरूणां चानयस्तीव्र: समदृश्यत दारुण:
sañjaya uvāca | kurūṇāṃ cānayas tīvraḥ samadṛśyata dāruṇaḥ |
ಭರತಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನೇ, ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಕೌರವರ ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ತೀವ್ರವೂ ದಾರುಣವೂ ಆದ ಫಲವು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ಕಿರೀಟಧಾರಿ ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಸಮೂಹಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟುದರಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶ, ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳು, ಭೂಮಿ, ಸೂರ್ಯ—ಯಾವುದೂ ತಿಳಿಯದಂತಾಯಿತು।
