Educational Q&A

Any greatness—beauty, prosperity, authority, or power—seen in the world is not independent; it is a manifestation arising from a fraction of the Lord’s radiance. The lesson is to cultivate reverent recognition and humility rather than attachment or ego around worldly excellence.

After Arjuna requests to hear about the Lord’s divine manifestations, Kṛṣṇa concludes the description of His vibhūtis by giving a general rule: wherever Arjuna perceives exceptional splendor or strength, he should understand it as stemming from Kṛṣṇa’s tejas (divine brilliance).
