अयं स मामभिप्राप्तो वर्षपूगाभिचिन्तित: । पाण्डवानां ससैन्यानां कुरूणां च समागम:,“मैं वर्षोसे जिसके लिये चिन्तित था, वह यह सेनासहित कौरव-पाण्डवोंका महान् संग्राम मेरे सामने उपस्थित हो गया है
ayaṃ sa mām abhiprāpto varṣa-pūgābhicintitaḥ | pāṇḍavānāṃ sa-sainyānāṃ kurūṇāṃ ca samāgamaḥ ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಾನು ಅನೇಕ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅದೇ ಘಟನೆ ಇಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ—ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳೊಡನೆ ಪಾಂಡವರು ಮತ್ತು ಕೌರವರ ಮಹಾ ಸಮಾಗಮ, ಮಹಾ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ।
