Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
यस्मिज्जाते महावीरयें शान्तनुलोकविश्रुत: । शोकं दैन्यं च दुःखं च प्राजहात् पुत्रलक्ष्मणि
yasmiñ jāte mahāvīrye śāntanulokaviśrutaḥ | śokaṁ dainyaṁ ca duḥkhaṁ ca prājahāt putralakṣmaṇi ||
ಲೋಕವಿಖ್ಯಾತ ಶಾಂತನುನಂದನನಾದ ಆ ಮಹಾವೀರನು ಜನಿಸಿದಾಗಲೇ, ಪುತ್ರಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ನಾನು ಶೋಕ, ದೈನ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ದುಃಖಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿದೆನು.
