निकृन्तन्तमनीकानि शरदंष्टं मनस्विनम्‌ । चापव्यात्ताननं घोरमसिजिह्ठलं दुरासदम्‌

Transliteration

nikṛntantam anīkāni śarad-aṃṣṭraṃ manasvinam | cāpa-vyāttānanaṃ ghoraṃ asi-jihvalaṃ durāsadam ||

Translation

ಧೃತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ವ್ಯೂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆ—ಶರದೃತುವಿನ ದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಿರುವ ಕ್ರೂರ ಮೃಗದಂತೆ. ಅವನು ಮನಸ್ವಿ, ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯಿ; ಭಯಂಕರ—ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿದು ಬಾಯಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಂತೆ ನಿಂತು, ಅವನ ಖಡ್ಗವು ಅಗ್ನಿಜಿಹ್ವೆಯಂತೆ ಮಿನುಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುಸ್ಸಾಧ್ಯ.
