Transliteration

śaṅkha-dundubhi-nirghoṣas tumulaḥ sarvato 'bhavat |

Translation

ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಶಂಖ-ದುಂದುಭಿಗಳ ಘನನಾದವು ತೂಮುಲವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ರಾಜರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಚಕಿತರಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲೆಯಿಸಿದರು.
