भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः

काम वध्यतु सैन्यं मे नाहं योत्स्ये महात्मना | जयो वास्तु वधो वा मे कथं वा कृष्ण मन्यसे
sañjaya uvāca | kāmaṁ vadhyatu sainyaṁ me nāhaṁ yotsye mahātmanā | jayo vāstu vadho vā me kathaṁ vā kṛṣṇa manyase |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅವರು ಬಯಸಿದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸೇನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲಿ; ನನಗೆ ಜಯವಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಮರಣವಾಗಲಿ—ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಭೀಷ್ಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಓ ಕೃಷ್ಣ! ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಯುಕ್ತವೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ?
