भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः

मण्डलेनैव धनुषा दृश्यसे संयुगे सदा । आददान संदधान विकर्षन्तं धनुर्न च
maṇḍalenai va dhanuṣā dṛśyase saṃyuge sadā | ādadānaṃ saṃdadhānaṃ vikarṣantaṃ dhanur na ca ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸದಾ ಧನುಸ್ಸಿನ ಸುತ್ತುವ ವೃತ್ತಾಕಾರದ ವಕ್ರರೇಖೆಯಂತೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಾಣುತ್ತೀರಿ—ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ, ತಂತಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸಿ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಧನುಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ; ಆ ವೇಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಧನುರ್ಧರನೇ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬೀಳದಂತೆ.
