भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
यदि भीष्मे हते वीरे जयं पश्यसि पाण्डव । हन्तास्म्येकरथेनाद्य कुरुवृद्धं पितामहम्
sañjaya uvāca | yadi bhīṣme hate vīre jayaṃ paśyasi pāṇḍava | hantāsmy ekarathenādya kuruvṛddhaṃ pitāmaham ||
ಪಾಂಡವನೇ! ವೀರ ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹತನಾದಾಗಲೇ ಜಯ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರೆ, ಇಂದು ನಾನು ಒಂದೇ ರಥದ ಆಧಾರದಿಂದ ಕುರುಕುಲದ ವೃದ್ಧ ಪಿತಾಮಹನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವೆ.
