Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
यद्यागच्छे: पुनरेवं कथंचिद् बृहस्पतिं परिदातुं मरुत्ते । दहेयं त्वां चक्षुषा दारुणेन संक़्रुद्ध इत्येतदवैहि शक्र
yady āgaccheḥ punar evaṁ kathaṁcid bṛhaspatiṁ paridātuṁ marutte | daheyaṁ tvāṁ cakṣuṣā dāruṇena saṅkruddha ity etad avaihi śakra ||
ಅವನು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದನು—“ನೀನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಾದರೂ ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಮರುತ್ತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಲು ಬಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಭಯಾನಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಹಿಸುವೆನು.” ಶಕ್ರಾ, ಇದನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೋ.

Vyāsa reports a warning: if Agni (or the addressed party) again tries to bring Bṛhaspati to King Marutta, the brahmacārin Saṁvarta—angered—will burn him with a fierce gaze. Vyāsa urges Indra (Śakra) to understand the seriousness of this threat.
