एवमेतदिति प्राहुस्तदभूल्लोमहर्षणम् । उनके ऐसा कहनेपर भीमसेन आदि भाइयों और द्रौपदीने एक स्वरसे कहा--'हाँ, महाराजका कहना ठीक है।” इस महान् त्यागकी बात सुनकर सबके रोंगटे खड़े हो गये

ಅವರು “ಹೌದು, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದರು; ಆ ಕ್ಷಣ ಲೋಮಹರ್ಷಣವಾಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಭೀಮಸೇನಾದಿ ಸಹೋದರರು ದ್ರೌಪದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಸ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿ—“ಹೌದು, ಮಹಾರಾಜರ ಮಾತು ಸರಿಯೇ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆ ಮಹಾತ್ಯಾಗದ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ರೋಮಾಂಚನ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.
