Educational Q&A

The verse highlights satya (truthfulness) as an ethical seal on a promise: the speaker binds himself by declaring his intention as truth, presenting reliability and moral accountability as integral to granting power or fulfilling desires.

Saṃvarta addresses another person with a firm assurance: he will elevate them to parity with Indra (Śakra) and fulfill what they desire, framing the pledge as certain and truthful.
