Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic conduct within a royal family: an elder (Kuntī) concludes her counsel and, through her explicit permission, authorizes the next step. It models restraint in speech, respect for authority, and orderly action in sensitive matters.

After Kuntī finishes speaking and becomes silent, the narrator (Vaiśampāyana) states that, with her approval, he brings Subhadrā into the scene—signaling a transition to the next interaction or decision involving Subhadrā.
