Brahmopadeśa: Adhipatitva-kathana, Dharma-lakṣaṇa, and Kṣetra–Kṣetrajña Viveka
Book 14, Chapter 43
संन्यासी ज्ञानसंयुक्तः प्राप्रोति परमां गतिम् | अतीतो द्वन्द्मभ्येति तमोमृत्युजरातिग:
saṃnyāsī jñānasaṃyuktaḥ prāpnoti paramāṃ gatim | atīto dvandvam abhyeti tamo-mṛtyu-jarātigaḥ ||
ವಾಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಜ್ಞಾನಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಸಂನ್ಯಾಸಿ ಪರಮಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ದ್ವಂದ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಅಜ್ಞಾನಾಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ, ಮರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಜರೆಯನ್ನು ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಪರಮಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
वायुदेव उवाच
Renunciation becomes spiritually effective when joined with liberating knowledge: by overcoming attachment to dualities (dvandvas) and piercing the darkness of ignorance, one transcends fear of death and decay and attains the supreme goal (paramā gati).
Vāyu (the Wind-god) is speaking, describing the fruit of true saṃnyāsa: the knowledgeable renunciant rises beyond worldly oppositions and reaches the highest state, emphasizing inner transformation over mere external withdrawal.
