Arjuna–Vāsudeva framed dialogue
गुरुर्वाच ब्रह्मणोक्तमिदं सर्वमृषिप्रवरसेवितम् । वेदविद्यां समाश्रित्य तत्त्वभूतार्थभावनम्
vāyudeva uvāca | gurur uvāca brahmaṇoktam idaṁ sarvam ṛṣipravarasevitam | vedavidyāṁ samāśritya tattvabhūtārthabhāvanam |
ಗುರು ಹೇಳಿದರು— ಮಗನೇ! ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮದೇವನು ಮೊದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಋಷಿಗಳು ಸದಾ ಈ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವೇದವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಮಾರ್ಥ-ತತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನೇ ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

That the answers to profound spiritual questions are already articulated within the Vedic tradition as taught by Brahmā and continuously cultivated by eminent sages; one should rely on Vedic knowledge to contemplate tattva (ultimate reality) and its highest meaning.
