एवमुक्त: स शान्तात्मा तामुवाच हसन्निव | सुभगे नाभ्यसूयामि वाक्यस्यास्य तवानघे,पत्नीके ऐसा कहनेपर वे शान्तचित्तवाले ब्राह्मण देवता हँसते हुए-से बोले --'सौभाग्यशालिनि! तुम पापसे सदा दूर रहती हो; अतः तुम्हारे इस कथनके लिये मैं बुरा नहीं मानता

Transliteration

evam uktaḥ sa śāntātmā tām uvāca hasann iva | subhage nābhyasūyāmi vākyasyāsya tavānaghe ||

Translation

ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಶಾಂತಾತ್ಮನು ಮೃದುವಾಗಿ ನಗುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಸुभಗೇ, ಅನಘೇ! ನೀ ಸದಾ ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ದೂರವಿರುವವಳು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಅಪರಾಧವೆಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
