Arjuna’s request to Krishna and the opening of the Kāśyapa–Brāhmaṇa mokṣa discourse (Āśvamedhika-parva 16)
ब्राह्मण उवाच मोक्षधर्म समाश्रित्य कृष्ण यन्मामपृच्छथा: । भूतानामनुकम्पार्थ यन्मोहच्छेदनं विभो
brāhmaṇa uvāca: mokṣadharma-samāśritya kṛṣṇa yan mām apṛcchathāḥ | bhūtānām anukampārthaṃ yan moha-cchedanaṃ vibho ||
ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಕೃಷ್ಣ, ಮಧುಸೂದನ! ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ, ಅವರ ಮೋಹವನ್ನು ಛೇದಿಸಲು, ಮೋಕ್ಷಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಯಥಾವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪ್ರಭು, ಮಾಧವನೇ, ಎಚ್ಚರದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು.
