संवर्त उवाच वज्ञादुग्राद् व्येतु भयं तवाद्य वातो भूत्वा हन्मि नरेन्द्र बज़म् । भयं त्यक्त्वा वरमन्यं वृणीष्व कं ते काम॑ं मनसा साधयामि
Saṁvarta uvāca | vajñād ugrād vyetu bhayaṁ tavādya vāto bhūtvā hanmi narendra vajram | bhayaṁ tyaktvā varam anyaṁ vṛṇīṣva kaṁ te kāmaṁ manasā sādhayāmi ||
ಸಂವರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನರೇಂದ್ರ! ಇಂದ್ರನ ಆ ಉಗ್ರ ವಜ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂದು ನೀ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ. ನಾನು ವಾಯುರೂಪವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆ ವಜ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಫಲಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಭಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವರವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸು. ಹೇಳು—ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಯಾವ ಆಸೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಿ?
