संवर्त उवाच भयं शक्राद् व्येतु ते राजसिंह प्रणोत्स्येडहं भयमेतत् सुघोरम् । संस्तम्भिन्या विद्यया क्षिप्रमेव मा भैस्त्वमस्याभिभवात् प्रतीत:
saṁvarta uvāca | bhayaṁ śakrād vyetu te rājasimha praṇotsyed ahaṁ bhayam etat sughoram | saṁstambhinyā vidyayā kṣipram eva mā bhaiḥ tvam asyābhibhavāt pratītaḥ ||
ಸಂವರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ರಾಜಸಿಂಹಾ! ಶಕ್ರ (ಇಂದ್ರ)ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಇರುವ ಭಯ ದೂರವಾಗಲಿ. ಈ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಘೋರ ಭಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ತೊಲಗಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಸ್ತಂಭಿನೀ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಭಯಾನಕ ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಭಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡು; ಇಂದ್ರನಿಂದ ಸೋಲುವೆನೆಂಬ ಭಯ ಬೇಡ।
