एतद्।ि नित्यं यत्नेन पद रक्ष्यं नराधिप । बहुप्रत्यर्थिकं होतद् राज्यं नाम कुरूद्धह,“कुरुश्रेष्ठ! नरेश्वर! राज्यके बहुत-से शत्रु होते हैं; अतः इसकी सदा ही यत्नपूर्वक रक्षा करनी चाहिये”
etad hi nityaṁ yatnena padaṁ rakṣyaṁ narādhipa | bahupratyarthikaṁ hy etad rājyaṁ nāma kurūdvaha ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ನರಾಧಿಪ! ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದ ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ‘ರಾಜ್ಯ’ವೆಂಬ ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರತಿಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ಆವರಿತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ, ಓ ಕುರುಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ!
