धृतराष्ट्रदर्शनाय पाण्डवानां प्रयाणम् | The Pāṇḍavas Prepare to Visit Dhṛtarāṣṭra
अथ हर्म्यतलस्थाहं रविमुद्यन्तमीक्षती । संस्मृत्य तदृषेर्वाक््यं स्पृहयन्ती दिवानिशम्,एक दिन जब मैं अपने महलकी छतपर खड़ी थी, उगते हुए सूर्यपर मेरी दृष्टि पड़ी। महर्षि दुर्वासाके वचनोंका स्मरण करके मैं दिन-रात सूर्यदेवको चाहने लगी
atha harmyatalasthāhaṃ ravim udyantam īkṣatī | saṃsmṛtya tadṛṣer vākyaṃ spṛhayantī divāniśam ||
ನಂತರ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲ್ಮಹಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಉದಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆ. ಆ ಋಷಿಯ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಹಗಲು-ರಾತ್ರಿ ಸೂರ್ಯದೇವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಸತೊಡಗಿದೆ.
