अध्याय १५ (Āśramavāsika-parva): धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनवासानुज्ञायाचनम् — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s renewed plea for consent to forest-dwelling
iti bāṣpakalā vācaḥ kuntī putrasya śṛṇvatī | sā jagāmāśrupūrṇākṣī bhīmas tām idam abravīt |
The verse highlights steadfastness amid grief: even when overwhelmed by sorrow, Kuntī continues forward, suggesting resolve in following a chosen dharmic course (here, the difficult path of withdrawal/renunciation), while loved ones respond with concern and counsel.
Kuntī hears her son’s tear-choked words; her own eyes fill with tears, but she does not halt and keeps going. Seeing this, Bhīma speaks to her, setting up the next lines of dialogue.
