छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जमदम्नेश्व संवाद सूर्यस्य च महात्मन: । पुरा स भगवान् साक्षाद्धनुषाक्रीडयत् प्रभो
jamadagneś ca saṃvādaḥ sūryasya ca mahātmanaḥ | purā sa bhagavān sākṣād dhanuṣā krīḍayat prabho, ānīya sā tadā tasmai prādād asakṛd acyuta |
ಪ್ರಭೋ! ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ಜಮದಗ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ನಡುವಿನ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಜಮದಗ್ನಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ಧನುರ್ವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ಪತ್ನಿ ರೇಣುಕಾ ಆ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮರುಮರು ತಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.
