Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
एका तिष्ठसि का च त्वं कस्यार्थे कि प्रयोजनम् । पद्मिनीतीरमाश्रित्य ब्रूहि त्वं किं चिकीर्षसि
ekā tiṣṭhasi kā ca tvaṃ kasyārthe ki prayojanam | padminītīram āśritya brūhi tvaṃ kiṃ cikīrṣasi ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ನೀನು ಯಾರು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವೆ? ಯಾರಿಗಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿರುವೆ? ಯಾವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರುವೆ? ಪದ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಈ ಸರೋವರದ ತೀರವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಹೇಳು—ನೀನು ಯಾವ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೀಯೆ?”
