Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
नानाविधैश्व विहगैर्जलप्रकरसेविभि: । एकद्वारामनादेयां सूपतीर्थामकर्दमाम्
nānāvidhaiś ca vihagair jalaprakara-sevibhiḥ | ekadvārām anādeyāṃ sūpatīrthām akardamām ||
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಬದುಕುವ ನಾನಾವಿಧ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ಕಲರವಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅದರ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಜಲವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು। ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದೇ ದ್ವಾರವಿತ್ತು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಿಷಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿತ್ತು। ಸ್ನಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾದ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು; ಕಾಯಿ ಅಥವಾ ಕೆಸರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ।
