Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
भरद्वाज बोले--इस विवेकशून्य ब्राह्मणबन्धुको हमलोगोंकी तरह अपनी स्त्रीके कलंकित होनेका शोक नहीं है। इसीलिये यह कुत्तेके साथ मोटा हो गया है ।।
gautama uvāca | naitasyeha yathāsmākaṃ trikauśeyaṃ ca rāṅkavam | ekaikaṃ vai trivarṣīyaṃ tena pīvāucchunā saha ||
ಗೌತಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಇವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮಂತೆ ಕುಶಗಿಡದ ಹಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೂರು-ತಂತಿಯ ಮೇಖಲೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಮೃಗಚರ್ಮವನ್ನೂ—ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದನ್ನೂ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಧರಿಸಿ—ವಾಸಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ನಾಯಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿ ಇವನು ಪುಷ್ಟನಾಗಿ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.
