Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
नैव लोभ॑ तदा चक्रुस्तत: स्वर्गमवाप्रुवन्
naiva lobhaṁ tadā cakrus tataḥ svargam avāpruvan
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರು ಲೋಭಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಸ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ಮಹಾಜನರು ಅನೇಕ ವಿಧದ ಭೋಗಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಲೋಭಿಸಿದರೂ, ಆ ಮಹಾತ್ಮರು ಆಸೆಗೆ ವಶರಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ—ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಪದವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.
