Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
ततस्ते मुनय: सर्वे पुष्कराणि बिसानि च । यथाकाममुपादाय समुत्तस्थुर्मुदान्विता:,तदनन्तर वे सभी महर्षि इच्छानुसार कमलके फूल और मृणाल लेकर प्रसन्नतापूर्वक सरोवरसे बाहर निकले
tataste munayaḥ sarve puṣkarāṇi bisāni ca | yathākāmamupādāya samuttiṣṭhurmudānvitāḥ ||
ಆಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುನಿಗಳು ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಕಮಲಪುಷ್ಪಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೃಣಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಸರೋವರದಿಂದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆದ್ದರು।
शुन:सख उवाच
The verse highlights contentment and restraint: the sages take what they wish—no more than is fitting—and depart joyfully, suggesting disciplined desire and non-greed as part of dharmic conduct.
All the sages gather lotus-flowers and lotus-stalks from the lake according to their preference and then rise up and come out, pleased and satisfied.
