अपांक्तो यावतः पांक्तान्‌ भुज्जानाननुपश्यति । तावत्फलाद भ्रंशयति दातारं तस्य बालिशम्‌

Transliteration

apāṅkto yāvataḥ pāṅktān bhuñjānān anupaśyati | tāvatphalād bhraṁśayati dātāraṁ tasya bāliśam ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಯೋಗ್ಯನಾದ ಅಪಾಂಕ್ತನು, ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡುವ ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ದಾನಫಲದಿಂದ ಆ ಮೂಢ ದಾತನನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
