Brahmā–Indra–Surabhi Itihāsa
सवत्सां पीवरीं दत्त्वा दृतिकण्ठामलंकृताम् | वैश्वदेवमसम्बाध॑ स्थान श्रेष्ठ प्रपद्यते
savatsāṁ pīvarīṁ dattvā dṛtikaṇṭhām alaṅkṛtām | vaiśvadevam asambādhaṁ sthānaṁ śreṣṭhaṁ prapadyate ||
ಕರುಸಹಿತವಾದ, ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪೋಷಿತ ಹಸುವನ್ನು ಕಂಠಾವರಣ/ಕಂಠಬಂಧದಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡುವವನು, ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ವಿಶ್ವೇದೇವರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ।
