Go-mahātmyam: Pavitrāṇāṃ Pavitraṃ
Cows and Ghee as Supreme Purifiers
स गतस्तस्य तृप्तिं तु गन्धं सुरभिमुद्विरन् । ददर्शोद्वारसंवृत्तां सुरभिं मुखजां सुताम्
sa gatastasyāḥ tṛptiṁ tu gandhaṁ surabhim udviran | dadarśa udvāra-saṁvṛttāṁ surabhīṁ mukhajāṁ sutām ||
ಅಮೃತವನ್ನು ಪಾನಮಾಡಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ತೃಪ್ತನಾದಾಗ, ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಸುಗಂಧ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮತೊಡಗಿತು. ಆ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ‘ಸುರಭಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಹಸು ಪ್ರकटವಾಯಿತು; ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖಜಾತ ಪುತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಂಡನು.
