गावो लोकांस्तारयन्ति क्षरन्त्यो गावश्षान्नं संजनयन्ति लोके । यस्तं जानन्न गवां हार्दमेति स वै गन्ता निरयं पापचेता:

Transliteration

gāvo lokāṁs tārayanti kṣarantyo gāvaś cānnaṁ saṁjanayanti loke | yas taṁ jānann na gavāṁ hārdam eti sa vai gantā nirayaṁ pāpacetāḥ ||

Translation

ಹಸುಗಳು ಹಾಲನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹಸಿವಿನ ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅನ್ನಪೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದೂ ಹಸುಗಳತ್ತ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸದೆ ಇರುವವನು ಪಾಪಮನಸ್ಸಿನವನು; ಅವನು ನರಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
