Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)
अचोटद्यमानानि यथा पुष्पाणि च फलानि च । स्वकाल नातिवर्तन्ते तथा कर्म पुरा कृतम्
acoṭadyamānāni yathā puṣpāṇi ca phalāni ca | svakālaṃ nātivartante tathā karma purā kṛtam ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಹೂಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಯಾರೂ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸದೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ನಿಗದಿತ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಮೀರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸರಿಯಾದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಳಿ ಪಕ್ವವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕರ್ಮವೂ ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
