अध्यापककुले जात: श्रोत्रियो नियतेन्द्रिय:
adhyāpakakule jātaḥ śrotriyo niyatendriyaḥ
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆಚಾರ್ಯಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದವನು, ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದವನು, ಇಂದ್ರಿಯನಿಗ್ರಹವುಳ್ಳವನು—ಅವನು ವಿನಯ, ಸದಾಚಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರಂಗ ಸಂಯಮದಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ।
