पूपान् पुनर्वसौ दत्त्वा तथैवान्नानि शो भने । यशस्वी रूपसम्पन्नो बद्धन्नो जायते कुले
pūpān punarvasau dattvā tathaivānnāni śobhane | yaśasvī rūpasampanno baddhānno jāyate kule ||
ನಾರದನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಹೇ ಶೋಭನೇ! ಪುನರ್ವಸು ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಪಗಳು (ಸಿಹಿ ಕೇಕುಗಳು) ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅನ್ನವನ್ನು ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಉತ್ತಮ ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ, ರೂಪಸಂಪನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಬಹುಅನ್ನಸಂಪನ್ನನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
