भरणीषु द्विजातिभ्यस्तिलधेनु प्रदाय वै । गा: सुप्रभूता: प्राप्नोति नर: प्रेत्य यशस्तथा

Transliteration

bharaṇīṣu dvijātibhyas tiladhenuṃ pradāya vai | gāḥ suprabhūtāḥ prāpnoti naraḥ pretya yaśas tathā ||

Translation

ಭರಣೀ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿಜರಿಗೆ (ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಿಗೆ) ತಿಲಮಯ ಧೇನುವನ್ನು ದಾನ ಮಾಡುವವನು, ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರ ಗೋವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದೇಹತ್ಯಾಗದ ನಂತರ ಮಹಾ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
