Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
तस्या: क्षेत्रविशेषाश्व॒ तडागानां च बन्धनम् । औदकानि च सर्वाणि प्रवक्ष्याम्यनुपूर्वश:
tasyāḥ kṣetraviśeṣāś ca taḍāgānāṃ ca bandhanam | audakāni ca sarvāṇi pravakṣyāmy anupūrvaśaḥ ||
ಈಗ ನಾನು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಧಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳು, ಕೆರೆಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಟ್ಟೆ-ಬಂಧನ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಾವಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಲಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು—ಇವುಗಳ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವೆನು।
