Daiva–Puruṣakāra Inquiry: Fate and Human Effort
अभ्युत्थानेन दैवस्य समारब्धेन कर्मणा । विधिना कर्मणा चैव स्वर्गमार्गमवाप्लुयात्,मनुष्य दैवके उत्थानसे आरम्भ किये हुए पुरुषार्थसे उत्तम विधि और शास्त्रोक्त सत्कर्मसे ही स्वर्गलोकका मार्ग पा सकता है
abhyutthānena daivasya samārabdhena karmaṇā | vidhinā karmaṇā caiva svargamārgam avāpnuyāt ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು, ದೈವಾನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ, ವಿಧಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಿಧಾನದಂತೆ ಸತ್ಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದವನೇ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
