Adhyāya 57: Tapas–Dāna Phala
On the Fruits of Austerity and Giving
कुशवल्मीकभूयिष्ठं बभूव च यथा पुरा । ततः स राजा कुशिक: सभार्यस्तेन कर्मणा
kuśa-valmīka-bhūyiṣṭhaṃ babhūva ca yathā purā | tataḥ sa rājā kuśikaḥ sa-bhāryas tena karmaṇā |
ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಹಿಂದಿನಂತೆಯೇ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕುಶಗಿಡಗಳೂ ವಾಳ್ಮೀಕಗಳೂ ತುಂಬಿ ದಟ್ಟವಾಯಿತು. ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ರಾಜ ಕುಶಿಕನು ರಾಣಿಯೊಡನೆ ಮಹಾ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡನು.
