चाण्डालो व्रात्यवैद्यौ च ब्राह्म॒ण्यां क्षत्रियासु च वैश्यायां चैव शूद्रस्य लक्ष्यन्तेडपसदास्त्रय:
cāṇḍālo vrātyavaidyau ca brāhmaṇyāṃ kṣatriyāsu ca vaiśyāyāṃ caiva śūdrasya lakṣyante ’pasadās trayaḥ
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣಿ, ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಶ್ಯಾ—ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂದ್ರನು ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ಜನಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವರು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಚಾಂಡಾಲ, ವ್ರಾತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇವು ಅಪಸದಗಳ ಮೂರು ಭೇದಗಳು.
