ब्राह्मणानां सतामेष ब्राह्मो धर्मो युधिष्ठिर । आवाह्गामावहेदेवं यो दद्यादनुकूलत:
brāhmaṇānāṃ satām eṣa brāhmo dharmo yudhiṣṭhira | āvāhāgāmāvah edeṃvaṃ yo dadyād anukūlataḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಓ ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರ! ಸತ್ಪುರುಷ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರ ಈ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮ: ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿ ಸತ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತಕರವಾಗಿ ದಾನ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.
