Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange (विश्वामित्र-जन्म: ऋचीक–सत्यवती–गाधि वृत्तान्तः)
स तुतोष च ब्रद्यार्षिस्तस्या वृत्तेन भारत । छन््दयामास चैवैनां वरेण वरवर्णिनीम्
sa tutoṣa ca brāhmarṣis tasyā vṛttena bhārata | chandayāmāsa caivaināṁ vareṇa varavarṇinīm ||
ಓ ಭಾರತ! ಅವಳ ಸದುಪಚಾರದಿಂದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರ್ಷಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ತೃಪ್ತನಾದನು. ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಆ ಪರಮಸುಂದರಿಯನ್ನು—“ನಿನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು; ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೀಡುವೆ” ಎಂದು ವರಪ್ರದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾದನು.
