स्त्रीस्वभावप्रश्नः — Nārada and Pañcacūḍā on Strī-svabhāva
Anuśāsana-parva 38
न चान्यदिह कर्तव्यं किज्चिदूर्ध्व यथाविधि । गुप्तो गोपायते ब्रह्मा श्रेयो वस्तेन शोभनम्
bhīṣma uvāca | na cānyad iha kartavyaṃ kiñcid ūrdhvaṃ yathāvidhi | gupto gopāyate brahmā śreyo vastena śobhanam ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೀರಿಸಿ ಇನ್ನೇನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಕನನ್ನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಶ್ರೇಯಸ್ಸು ಮತ್ತು ಶುಭ ಅಡಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ವಿಧಿನಿಷ್ಠರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಧರ್ಮಪಾಲನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ-ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಪರಮ ಹಿತವಿದೆ.
