ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins
ऑपनआक्राा बछ। अकाल त्रिशो&्थ्याय: वीतहव्यके पुत्रोंसे काशी-नरेशोंका घोर युद्ध
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | śrutaṃ me mahad ākhyānam etat kurukulodvaha | suduṣprāpaṃ yad bravīṣi brāhmaṇyaṃ vadatāṃ vara ||
ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ಕುರುಕುಲೋದ್ವಹ, ಹೇ ವಕ್ತೃಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಪಿತಾಮಹ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಈ ಮಹದಾಖ್ಯಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಇತರ ವರ್ಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಇದೇ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲೇ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುಷ್ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯವೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವುದು—ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಬೇಕು?
