नाभिवादयते ज्येष्ठं देवरातं नराधिप । पुत्रा: पज्चाशदेवापि शप्ता: श्वपचतां गता:

Transliteration

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: nābhivādayate jyeṣṭhaṃ Devarātaṃ narādhipa; putrāḥ pañcāśad evāpi śaptāḥ śvapacatāṃ gatāḥ.

Translation

ನರಾಧಿಪ! ಅವರು ಹಿರಿಯನಾದ ದೇವರಾತನಿಗೆ ಅಭಿವಾದನ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಐವತ್ತು ಪುತ್ರರೂ ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಶ್ವಪಚ (ಚಾಂಡಾಲ) ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
