ऊर्जावतीं महापुण्यां मधुमतीं त्रिवर्त्मगाम्‌ । त्रिलोकगोफ्तीं ये गड्डां संश्रितास्‍्ते दिवं गता:

Transliteration

Ūrjāvatīṁ mahāpuṇyāṁ madhumatīṁ trivartmagām | Trilokagoptīṁ ye Gaṅgāṁ saṁśritās te divaṁ gatāḥ ||

Translation

ಸಿದ್ಧನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಗಂಗೆಯು ಊರ್ಜಸ್ವಿನಿ, ಮಹಾಪುಣ್ಯಮಯಿ, ಮಧುರಜಲಸಂಪನ್ನಳು; ಭೂಮಿ, ಆಕಾಶ, ಪಾತಾಳ ಎಂಬ ತ್ರಿಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ತ್ರಿಲೋಕವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅವಳ ಶರಣಾದವರು ಸ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ।
