Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
ते संविभक्ता मुनिभिरननुनं देवैः सवासवै: । येडभिगच्छन्ति सततं गड्जां मतिमतां वर
te saṁvibhaktā munibhir anunūnaṁ devaiḥ savāsavaiḥ | ye ’bhigacchanti satataṁ gaṅgāṁ matimatāṁ vara ||
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನೇ! ಸದಾ ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರುವ ಯಾತ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ವಾಸವ (ಇಂದ್ರ) ಸಹಿತ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇವತೆಗಳೂ ಮುನಿಗಳೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ।
सिद्ध उवाच
Steady pilgrimage to the Gaṅgā is presented as a dharmic practice that brings abundant, specific blessings from both sages and gods (including Indra), emphasizing purification, reverence, and sustained religious discipline.
A Siddha is speaking, praising those who continually visit the Gaṅgā and declaring that such devotees are specially favored by the munis and the devas, framing Gaṅgā-approach as a powerful tirtha practice.
