Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
इन्दुब्रतसहस्र॑ तु यश्चरेत् कायशोधनम् । पिबेद् यश्चापि गज्भाम्भ: समौ स्यातां न वा समौ
induvrata-sahasraṁ tu yaś caret kāya-śodhanam | pibed yaś cāpi gaṅgāmbhaḥ samau syātāṁ na vā samau ||
ದೇಹಶುದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಹಸ್ರ ಚಾಂದ್ರಾಯಣ ವ್ರತಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನು; ಕೇವಲ ಗಂಗಾಜಲವನ್ನು ಪಾನಮಾಡುವವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು—ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಸಮಾನರೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಬಹುದು; ಅಥವಾ ಸಮಾನರಲ್ಲದೆ ಗಂಗಾಜಲಪಾನವೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿರಬಹುದು।
