तीर्थवंशोपदेशः
Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
अकल्ककस्य विप्रस्य रौक्ष्यात् करकृतात्मन: । वटवो यस्य भिक्षन्ति तेभ्यो दत्त महाफलम्
akalkakasya viprasya raukṣyāt karakṛtātmanaḥ | vaṭavo yasya bhikṣanti tebhyo dattaṃ mahāphalam ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಕಪಟವಿಲ್ಲದ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನು ಅತಿದಾರಿದ್ರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕಠೋರನಾಗಿ, ಕೈಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಅನ್ನ ಬಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವನ ಹಸಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು “ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು, ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ—ಆ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನಿಗೂ ಆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ನೀಡಿದ ದಾನ ಮಹಾಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
